Kick Back And Take a Deep Drink...

In arguably the most important game this weekend - historically speaking - is the home & season opener for the Trine NCAA D3 Women's team!  The Thunder host the Finlandia Lions at 7pm on Friday (and INHockey.net will be there!).  The rematch is Saturday at 2pm.

Trine (NCAA D3 Men) embarks on their first-ever road trip to face Marian University (Friday 8pm) and Lawrence University (Saturday 5pm) in an NCHA doubleheader weekend.
Defenseman Josh Hinterliter scored the first goal in team history in the second period of their opener v. UW-Stout.

Indiana Tech continues WHAC play as they host the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils on Friday and Saturday nights.  The puck drops at 8:30 both nights.
Jace Childs leads the NAIA in scoring with 15 points, and Joey Molfetta is tied for 2nd with 13 points.  Brian Skillicorn leads defensemen with 5 goals in 6 games.

Butler travels to South Bend for a one-game series with the Fighting Irish.  Puck drops Friday at 7:30pm at the Ice Box.
Butler’s 0.833 win percentage leads the ACHA D3 North Region for team with 5+ games played.  Notre Dame’s Michael Massaro leads the Irish with 29 PIM in 8 games.

The Greyhounds continue making the rounds locally as they face Ball State in a two-fer at the Fuel Tank (Friday 8pm, Saturday 3:40pm).  UIndy’s Joe Mann (5g, 2a) is averaging a point per game through 7 games.  Ball State’s Nick Ramsey (7g, 1a) has eight points in the Cardinals’ first four games.

The D2 Thunder look to keep the unbeaten streak alive as they play host to Dayton on Friday (9:30pm) and Bowling Green on Saturday (6pm) in Angola.
Brandon Bornkamp (11g, 17a) is 27th in points in the ACHA D2.  Three of Trine’s four goaltenders are in the top 12 in Save %:  Adam Conkling (0.948, T-10th), Tyler Hough (0.947, 11th), and Aaron Brickman (0.946, T-12th)

Indiana Tech (ACHA) will look to get back in the win column when the host Lawrence Tech on Saturday (5:30pm) and Sunday (12:30pm).  Nick Janiszewski leads the Warriors with 9 goals in 8 games.

The Mastadons open their conference schedule as they host the Eastern Kentucky Colonels on Friday (9:10pm) and Saturday (4pm) in Fort Wayne.
The Colonels have given up 63 goals, 11th most in ACHA Division 3.  IPFW is averaging 7.6 goals per game - nearly 1.5 goals per game better than 2016-17, when the ranked #3 in scoring in the nation.

Notre Dame (NCAA D1) opens their Big Ten schedule on the road, taking on the Ohio State Buckeyes on Friday and Saturday at Value City Arena.  Both games start at 7pm.
Jake Evans leads the nation in both points (15) and assists (12).  Jordan Gross has appeared in 127 consecutive games, dating back to the first game of his freshman season.

Trine (ACHA D3) hits the road to face Ferris State in a weekend series (8pm Friday / 4pm Saturday).
Jacob Ruelle (7g, 6a) leads the ACHA D3 Thunder with 13 points in 9 games.
