Komets defenseman Leonard named Plus Performer of Month

Forward Mantha added to roster

Fort Wayne, IN-- The ECHL announced Thursday that Fort Wayne Komets defenseman Curtis Leonard has been named the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for November.  Leonard completed the month leading the league with a plus-minus rating of +14.

The Napanee, Ontario native logged two +3 games including a 6-4 win at Missouri Nov. 11 and a 5-1 victory against QuadCity on Nov. 18.  Leonard was at least even or better in nine of 10 games during the month.  Overall, he has finished even or better in 14 of 15 games to date.

Leonard is in his second year with the Komets, and his second full season as a pro in the ECHL after sharing last season with Fort Wayne, Reading and Evansville.

In recognition of his accomplishment, AMI Graphics will present Leonard with a personalized Plus Performer of the Month banner during an on-ice ceremony at an upcoming Komets home game.

Komets add Mantha to roster-- The Komets announced Thursday that they have added forward Devin Mantha to the roster.  Mantha, 27, made his ECHL debut last season appearing in 26 games with Norfolk scoring five goals and 10 points.  The Ann Arbor, Michigan native skated two complete SPHL seasons with Mississippi in 2013-14 and 2014-15 and added 26 games with the RiverKings last year.  Mantha started this season logging 13 games in the SPHL with Mississippi before getting the call from Fort Wayne.

In additional player transactions, forward Taylor Crunk and defenseman Gabriel Beaupre have been placed on 21-day injured reserve.
