Milliron and Harris Highlight Outstanding Team Effort

The Evansville Thunderbolts experienced their worst defeat of the season Friday night,  falling to the Peoria Rivermen 8-2.  They showed no ill effects from it Saturday, coming back strong to claim a 2-1 SO victory.

Thanks to the win, the Bolts returned home no longer in last place either, edging out the Columbus Cottonmouths by one point.

Netminder Tanner Milliron set the tone early for the Thunderbolts, stopping all 10 shots faced in a scoreless first period.  Peoria would score early in the second period to take the first lead of the game, but Ryan Patsch would answer for the Thunderbolts with 6:41 left in the period.  His goal was assisted by Mike Radisa and Phil Bronner.

Despite two power play opportunities in the third period, the Bolts couldn't muster the go-ahead goal, sending the game into overtime for a fifth time this season.

Tanner Milliron stopped 33 shots through three periods and overtime, and six of seven shootout attempts.  Dave Williams scored in the fifth round of the shootout to tie the scoring after Johnny Daniels scored for Peoria.  Josh Harris then sealed the deal for the Bolts in the seventh round.  Harris has scored the game winner in each of the Thunderbolts three wins this season.
