Does it get any better?  A game between cross town rivals, currently neck and neck in the INHockey.net rankings and with a similar win loss record is hard to beat.  That's why I'm choosing the Crown Point Bulldogs (no. 12) at the Munster Mustangs (no. 13) as the INHockey.net game of the week.

Crown Point has been on a tear recently, going 3-0-1 in their last four games, and outscoring their opponents 13-4 in those three wins.  Of course, the caveat is those wins came against weaker opponents.  

"What about the fourth game," you ask.  Here's where it gets interesting.   It was a 2-2 tie against....wait for it...Munster.   Speaking of Munster...

The Mustangs come into this game having gone 4-0-1 in their last five games, outscoring their opponents 22-3 and playing a very similar schedule to the Bulldogs in terms of strength.

So who has the upper hand?  

Although Crown Point sits atop the Illiana League Division with a total of 23 points, they're lacking some convincing wins on the schedule.  However, the same can be said for Munster, who is second in the Illiana League with 17 points but with two fewer games played.

There is definitely a reason these two teams tied their last game. They have similar schedules with similar results so far.  That's what makes this a great game to watch.  If it doesn't result in another tie, I have to give the nod to Crown Point with the deciding factor being accumulated goal differential.  The Bulldogs have an edge in that category with +33 vs the Mustangs +24.

My prediction, The Bulldogs mark their territory with a 2-1 win on Sunday afternoon.  You heard it here first!
